| The Dr. Laura
Hare Charitable Trust was established to honor the legacy of Laura
Hare's dedication and love of the natural environment.
Grants are awarded to projects focused around land conservation, land stewardship, and environmental education activities. The service area of the Dr. Laura Hare Charitable Trust is the State of Indiana with particular emphasis on central Indiana. Grants are awarded to eligible not-for-profit organizations with a record of environmental protection, preservation, stewardship, and education. The Trust considers proposals on a quarterly basis but will review pre proposals more frequently. Appropriate pre proposals will be invited to submit full proposals on an individual basis. Full proposals are accepted in February, May, and September. Visit the Grant Guidelines link to view the proposal process. The Environmental Learning Laboratories Program of the Dr. Laura Hare Charitable Trust awards grant funding to schools that have participated in IUPUI's Discovering the Science of the Environment professional institute and have undergone training in the design and implementation of outdoor learning laboratories.
