DSE at Paramount School of Excellence

The Discovering the Science of the Environment education staff enjoyed investigating Pogue’s Run with the 5th grade students at Paramount School of Excellence this month.  The stretch of stream under study is located between Spade’s Park and Brookside Park on Indy’s near eastside, adjacent to the students’ school.

The Englewood garden is growing magnificently! If you haven't already, head over to Rural and Washington to see for yourself.

Community members gather on Monday evenings to tend the veggies and enjoy each other's company.  Often there are music, crafts, and early harvests being enjoyed.

Englewood CDC is partnering with CEES to start a community garden

Service Learning participants will help prepare a vacant lot on Indy’s near eastside for the creation of a thriving fruit and vegetable garden.  The service-learning event associated with the project is one work day when we will be performing site clean up and laying out garden beds.
