What
are our Concerns? -
E. coli
often exceeds acceptable levels in many areas of the watershed. -
Atrazine loading within some areas of the watershed exceed the
allowable annual average for drinking water standards. -
Degradation of aquatic habitats due to sedimentation, low dissolved
oxygen, and elevated nutrients. -
Nutrients, such as nitrogen
and phosphorus, are often at levels that promote algal blooms in
Eagle Creek - Reservoir, taste and odor problems with
finished drinking water, and potential health risks. -
Lack of understanding and awareness of the watershed, drinking water
resources, and the watershed's value as a natural resource.
